Unfortunately most of the pier is closed off Fall/Winter, but nice to explore far end of the boardwalk and check out all the locks, similar to Paris. Full review by tammyBaltimore_Md

We arrived at 9:30 AM and was disappointed that the only parking available was a small all day $10 gravel lot and the $3 pay per hour lot across the street. We decided due to the conditions just stay… Full review by 388bobl
You need a liscense to fish unless you're 16 or younger. Bait can be bought at the pier. You will not need a license if you fish from the pier as there is a fee to fish on the pier
There are hotel rooms and apartments for rent in the area. I don't know of a "whole house" for rent, but would guess that there are 3 bedroom apartments nearby.
